Unmapped Surroundings

Unmapped Surroundings brings together a constellation of practices that traverse figuration, abstraction, memory, and metaphor. Across paintings, mixed media, and graphic interventions, the artists examine the fragile terrain between the intimate and the political, the domestic and the historical.

Bodies appear suspended in uncertain narratives; landscapes oscillate between realism and psychological space. Objects boats, limbs, architectural fragments become carriers of displacement, care, vulnerability, and resistance. In the abstract works, layered pigments and restless gestures evoke emotional geographies that resist fixed coordinates.

Rather than offering a single cartography, the exhibition proposes multiple, overlapping maps of memory, identity, ecology, and belonging. What emerges is not a stable territory, but a shifting field of encounters where personal histories intersect with collective anxieties.

In these unmapped surroundings, the viewer is invited not to locate certainty, but to navigate ambiguity.
